When not in the city I prefer to be watching the night sky in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness of northern Minnesota.
This combination of many long exposure photographs creates the star trails which follow the rotation of our planet. Captured from camp on a week long canoeing trip, I was lucky to witness a clear sky late during the night. The light of the moon coming from behind the camera cast the perfect amount of light to reveal the shoreline and distant fog moving over the water.
Bring the wonders of the wilderness home to remind everyone of what a special place the Boundary Waters is.
